Telehealth/Distance Counseling
Considering Telehealth? Does your child need support, but due to current events you do not feel comfortable with an in-office session? Worried that videotherapy may not be effective for you and your child? Our practice has developed numerous ways to maximize the benefits of telehealth. Tap into a network of licensed, accredited, and experienced counselors who can help you and your child with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationships, bullying, trauma, and more. With our counselors, you get the same professionalism and quality you would expect from an in-office counselor, but with the ability to communicate in a way that is tailored toward your needs.
Is it Secure?: All videotherapy services our office provides are through a HIPAA compliant and secure videoconferencing platform. Our clinicians will make sure you are comfortable navigating the software to get your started. The software is completely free to all clients and can be utilized on your laptop or mobile device.
Telephone Communications: My team and I will make ourselves as available as we can for ongoing telephone communications with patients and families. Usually, all calls are returned within 24 hours. If it is an emergency that cannot wait for a returned call, please call 911 or go the nearest emergency room. Telephone communication requiring more than 15 minutes will be pro-rated at my hourly rate for standard sessions.
Insurance: During this difficult time insurance companies acknowledged the need for teletherapy to support those affected by the current crisis. As a result insurance companies will be providing reimbursement for teletherapy services. Our office is not in-network with any insurance providers, however, many of our clients get reimbursed from their insurance company at their out-of-network rates . After each session we will provide a detailed invoice which can be submitted for "out of network" insurance coverage.
